Don Medical Clinic Welcomes New Doctor-in-Training
Dr Maung Maung Sein
Dr Maung ( pronounced Mong ) was born and raised in Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar (Burma). He completed his medical degree at University of Medicine , Yangon in 2007.To pursue further study and career prospects, he relocated to Australia in late 2010. He has worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital, St George Hospital and Kirketon Road Centre in Sydney. He is currently enrolled as a GP registrar with General Practice Training Tasmania.
He has interests in sexual health, youth and adolescents, mens'health, women and children's health and sports medicine.He has done extensive additional training to up skill in these areas of interest, including a Diploma in Child Health and Family Planning Association Australia Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Heatlh. He also has an interest in HIV medicine and is currently completing his S100 Prescribers course.
When not doctoring, Maung enjoys cooking, gardening, watching sports and detectives programs on TV.
